WE LOVE YOU SEKOLAH ATAS!
A quote by Mdm Rashidah, which is very true, for I will always remember the fun and joy we had together with students @ Sekolah Atas. The cheers we had, the excitement we created in the school, the games we played together, the photos that were captured, will never be forgotten.
I’ll just talk about the days at the school, since it is hard to write, or rather type down what we really experienced.
First Day @ S.K Atas
After over an hour of bus ride, we finally reached the Sekolah Atas, and the moment we stepped into the compound, I felt really touched and glad, as the students were eagerly waiting for our arrival, for a few hours already. The first sight of them made me melt, as they were so cute and innocent, unlike our Primary School kids here in SG. The school was just below a hill, and it was really peaceful and quiet, unlike our concrete buildings in SG which faced the noisy and ugly highway. The school was just like kampongs, which was made of wood and the classrooms reminded me of my Primary 1/2 classrooms, with blackboard and chalks. It was back to the olden days. We played Musical Chairs, had lessons on English, and not forgetting the cheers which we did and made them super high! Remix!
Second Day @ S.K Atas
Another bus ride, but all couldn’t wait to reach the school! Although it was raining, we were all eager to play with the kids. When we arrived, I was once again touched, as even more students have turned up today and were all waiting! They brought us umbrellas and shelters us in, how caring!
We started the day with cheers and surprisingly, they were all so hyper and excited! We taught them new cheers… “Bananas of the world unite!”
After that was back to lessons, which was fun and they all loved it! I was with the Year 6 students for today, and I met so many handsome boys and pretty girls. Debbie! Akken! First was Science lessons, which was about the Digestive System. So funny ok! “Come prounounce, faeces! Not faces! Faeces is the brown thing that comes out when you go to the toilet!”
After that was Art and Craft where they made trash-bag puppets (if that’s what you call it). They really had wonderful art and craft skills ok! The puppets they made were sooooo cute and I was amazed. We had fun teasing Gibson of his love, Debbie as well. Haha!
Final Day @ S.K. Atas
Went back to class for lessons again, and some had Maths, Art and Craft. They made animal masks if I’m correct, and it was so enjoyable! Made me want to stay there longer, and be a teacher! LOL. I think I will let the pictures tell the story, DURING ASSEMBLY! HA!
This was the last day at S.K Atas, and I was already prepared to see all the tears and sad faces. Started with cheers again just to keep their spirits high and ours too.
WE LOVE YOU SEKOLAH ATAS!
